Money is needed as clothing and food donations must be inspected and sorted. If you want information on using your donations for tax purposes, Forbes’ magazine has an article,”3 Tax Smart Ways to Give to Hurricane Harvey Relief.”

**If you have relatives affected by the flood or storm damage, warn them about contractors who show up uninvited to “bid” on projects.  Many victims of Hurricane Sandy were bilked out of money by crooks taking advantage of those in need.
