Monthly Meeting – Upcoming events and ways to resist

This February we’ll be meeting to discuss ways we can further resist the Trump administration and promote local Democratic causes.

Greg McKinley-Powell will discuss activism efforts to prevent the defunding of Planned Parenthood, including the current push to make sure the Senator does not remove funding from the latest budget.

We’ll have a speaker about the recent efforts to have Riverside declared a sanctuary city and the recent protest in front of City Hall. Plus updates about future endeavors on that front.

Charlene McKinley-Powell will discuss the DGR booth at the LULAC health fair on Saturday, Feb. 25, where we will register voters, and pass out pamphlets about immigrant rights and how to stand up for civil liberties, and promote our club.

And finally, we’ll have a discussion about ways members can become involved in the club and how our committees work.
