We will review the submitted platform positions, and have a brief discussion on each item, and debate their inclusion in the official DGR platform. once each item has been selected we will compile them into an official platform letter which we will submit to the DGR executive Board meeting on March 7.

Riverside Town Hall Congressman Mark Takano – DGR Booth

DGR is going to have a booth at the Takano Town hall. Please RSVP if you want to help with the booth. If you just want to attend the event tickets are here:

Here’s the description of the event:

Mark Takano (41–D) will have a town hall in Riverside February 23rd. Join us to hear Rep Takano talk about the plans for the House Democrats in response to the Republican majority and the Trump administration.

Local groups and chapters of national groups will have representatives and information tables on hand as well.

Seating is limited. Please plan to carpool as parking is also limited. Paid parking is available across the street in the RCC parking structure and at Calvary Presbyterian Church down the block on Magnolia (near the hospital)

The 41st congressional district includes Riverside, Jurupa Valley, Moreno Valley and Perris.

Booth at LULAC Health Fair

DGR is going to have a booth at the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Health Fair. We’ll be registering people to vote, informing people about their constitutional rights, and letting people know about our club.

The health fair provides medical services to low-income members of the community. We hope that we can also assist in empowering people to vote and educating them about their rights.

We currently need volunteers, especially for the 1-3pm shift. If you plan on attending, please let us know in the comments how long you can stay and what times you can be there.
